Mr. Joe Zavala, 66, of Brooks, returned to his Heavenly Father Saturday, September 30, 2017. Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Alfredo Zavala and Nasaria Gutierrez Zavala; son, Jeremy Zavala and brothers, Alfredo Zavala Jr. and Alexander Zavala. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 20 years, Rebecca Harkness; daughter, Jody Ach (Jeremy); stepson, Tom Findley (Ashley); ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Chana Loze, Federico Zavala (Velma), Sarah Brown, Lydia Zavala, Terry Zavala and Linda Edwards (Robert) and sister-in-law, Nancy Zavala. Memorial service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.).
