Mr. John Patrick Mahoney, age 66, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on December 31, 2017. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Chester and Fannie Mahoney; brother, Willie Mahoney; and sister, Bertha Mahoney. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Lorrie Smiley (Damon); grandchildren, Shawnnesha Mahoney and Brittany Smiley; sisters, Rose Einfalt, Kaylin Walker and Jerry Williams; brothers, Chester, Steve and Paul Mahoney; and friends, Linda Thomas, Bob Johnson, John Kaiser and Sharon Tatum.
Funeral service will be conducted at 5 pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park on Tuesday at 10 am.
