Joseph Glenn Dotson Sr

Mr. Dotson Sr. was born on July 28, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Harold Glenn Dotson and Mary Doris (Hettle) Dotson. He was a retired campus parking director for University of Louisville, with 20 + years of service as a volunteer & Fire Chief for Edgewood Fire Department, and an Air Force Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Doris; brother, John William “Bill” Dotson and many precious fur babies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Stevens Dotson; children, Joseph “Joey” Dotson Jr. (Susan), Missy Cottrell (Danny), Jenny Dotson (Rob), and Julie Dotson (Ryan); grandchildren, Caisey (Ben), Bradley, Addison, Damian (Emily), Macy, Cameron, Isaac (Savannah), Elaina and Alex; embraced son Mike Center (Merritt) and grandson, Thomas; great-grandson on the way, Greyson; nieces, Andrea, Becky, Krystal and Nikki; nephew, Brandon and many precious fur babies.

The celebration of his life will be at the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, 123 Winning Colors Dr., Mt. Washington, KY 40047 at 12pm on Friday, December 30,2022 with burial to follow at Big Spring Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and Friday from 10am until the time of service, at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crusade for Children in Memory of Mr. Dotson.
