Joyce Marie Pickett

Joyce Marie Pickett, age 81, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2023. She was a member of Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church. Joyce was born in Illinois, on September 7, 1941, to the late Clifton and Margaret Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years, Roger Blake Pickett; children, son, Clifton Pickett (Bridget); daughters, Connie Hatfield (David) and Melissa Laytham (Marc); sister, Pat Reliford (Pete); grandchildren, Chloe, Blake (Jeanette) and Bailey (Levi); and a great grandchild on the way, Easton Bradley; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Moore Cemetery in Adair County. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Friday from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday 11 am until time of service at the funeral home. Services in Adair County will be provided by Grissom Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, KY.
