Juanita Smith Reed

Mrs. Juanita S. Reed, age 94, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 5, 2022. Mrs. Reed was born in Nelson County, KY on February 10, 1928 to the late Bryan Smith and Nellie Rose Baker Hagan. She was a dedicated member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (former St. Jerome Catholic Church) and was a retired supervisor at Enro Shirt Company after 33 years of service.

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, George Reed and her daughter-in-law, Jill Reed preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Eddie Reed and Tony Reed; daughter-in-law, Carol Calhoun; grandchildren, Cara Showalter and Matt Bryant; great- grandchildren, Evan Showalter, Heidi Bryant and Henry Bryant; sister, Leah Allen; dear friend, Sarah Riedel and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery (4653 Cissellville Rd., Manton, KY), please meet at the cemetery at 2:30 pm. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of her service at 12pm at the funeral home.
