Justin Wayne Cox

Justin Wayne Cox, age 32, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Justin was born in Louisville, KY on August 4, 1990. He was a wonderful father and loved his son, Hunter very much. He was a dear friend, enjoyed dove hunting, fishing, the beach, boating on the lake and golfing. He was Catholic by faith. Justin was honored with a Bullitt Award from Bullitt County for saving a man's life.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his grandparents, Sarah and Stanley Clemons and Herbert Cox and his aunt, Tammy Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Hunter Wayne Cox; mother, Vickie Cox; father, Tony Cox (Melody); brother, Dustin Cox; brother, Adam Cox; sister, Ashley Jaha; nephew, Bradley Cox; niece, Hattie Jaha; grandmother, Doriscella Cox; his aunt and Godmother, Cindy Burton along with his uncle and Godfather, Rick Burton; aunt, Cindy Adkins; aunt, Valerie Kellogg (Jimmy) and a host of cousins and other dear family and friends.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, March 22, 2023

 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)  Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a trust for his son, Hunter W. Cox.
