

Karen Marie (Wirth) Hall, age 76, passed away on July 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 8, 1947. Karen was a cherished wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was a testament to her love and dedication to God and family.
Karen cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, John B. Hall (Papa); their two sons, Dale (DeAnna) Hall and David (Stacy) Hall, who will forever remember her as a caring and supportive mother. Her six grandchildren, Chaz Hall, Whitney Hall, Lauren Hall Pfeiffer (Max), John Hall, Faith Hall, and Leah Hall were the lights of her life, bringing her immense joy and pride. Karen was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Josie Marie Hall, whom she treasured deeply. She is also survived by her sister Kris (Gary) Walters; nephews, Seth (Sharon) Walters and Samuel (Lora) Walters and niece, Amanda (Jon) Killman.
Karen is preceded in death and has been rejoined with her parents, George and Delores Wirth; grandparents, Emmett and Cledith Pfenninger and Ambrosia Wirth, and nephew, Matthew Walters.
Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals. She was the heart of every family gathering, always ready with a warm embrace and time to share. Her legacy of grace, kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire her family and those who knew her. Her grace-filled heart made everyone she met feel special and cared about. Karen was a member of the Catholic Church. Her belief in God was an important pillar of her life.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held on July 31, 2024t at Schoppenhorst, Underwood, and Brooks Funeral home in Shepherdsville, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, a cause close to Karen's heart.
She was a graduate of Presentation High School Class of 1965 in Louisville, KY. Karen will be deeply missed, but has forever touched the lives of those who had the blessing of knowing her love.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 12 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
