Karen Kaye Jones

Mrs. Jones was born December 13, 1949 in Gary, Indiana and retired from Humana after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where she inspired many young people through a puppet ministry. Mrs. Jones enjoyed working with the youth making puppets and presenting dramas about the love of Christ. Her Christian faith was more than just a title. She wanted the love of Christ to be seen by all. She also enjoyed family vacations, especially when golf was included.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Zach Jones; children, Jefferson Foote (Marty) and Dawn Smith (Kevin); grandchildren, Samantha, Whitney, Destiny, Alexandra and Zachery; great grandchildren, Jayden and Alijah; sisters, Fayan Brown (Marshall), Carleen Dadisman (Bobby) and Connie Hughes and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
