

Kenneth Darrell Lands, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born in Nelson County, Kentucky on March 11, 1939, to the Bennie Lands and Thelma Lands. Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Navy SEAL, where he was a signalman for the morse codes. He was a Korean War survivor. Kenneth was very proud to have served his country. He was a man of honesty, selflessness, reliable, and was always thoughtful of others. In his free time, he enjoyed watching western cowboy shows, playing any card game, and traveled every opportunity that arose. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond Lands.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family: Cecil Richards (Charlene), Brooke Roberts (Joseph), Abigail Powell (Samuel), Liliana Lusher, Jadon Lusher, Elisa Lusher, Samuel Lusher, Izek Lusher, Esther Roberts, and Benjamin Roberts.
Family and Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive Mount Washington, KY 40047). A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Services will be conducted by Rev. Timothy Cooley, Good Ground Church.
