Larry A. Jones, Sr.

Mr. Larry A. Jones, Sr., age 77, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Louisville, KY on August 22, 1946 to the late James Jones and Leola Irene Jones and he retired from the trucking industry. 

His beloved wife, June Katherine Jones; son, Larry Allen Jones, Jr.; granddaughter, Angel Zoel Lewis; great-granddaughter, Audrey Lynn Jones; parents, James and Leola Jones and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Michelle Jones (Carlton) and Jennifer Jones (Justice); grandchildren, Brittany Montgomery, Starr Lewis, Bryce Harp, Austin Keating, Christian Jones, Makayla Carlton and Miranda Carlton; great- grandchildren, Jaxxon Montgomery, Aubrey Jones, Bella Keating, Sebastian Jones, Journi Jones, Ellianna Jones, Lakelynn Jones, Ezra Mosher and Trayce Mosher; siblings, Steve Jones, Jimmy Jones and Theresa Coy and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of his service at noon at the funeral home.
