Lucy Carter

Lucy H. Carter age 98 of Hillview returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 with family by her side. Mrs. Carter was born in Grayson county and a member of Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Among those whom preceded her in death was her parents George and Debbie Wilson; husband, Walter Carter; son, Sherwood Carter. Mrs. Carter leaves to cherish her memory her son R. Lyle "Rip" Carter; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday at Dermitt Funeral Home 306 West Main Street in Leitchfield with burial in Leitchfield Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 2 pm. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road use John Harper entrance) and Saturday after 10 a.m. CDT at Dermitt Funeral Home.
