Martin Ray Johnson

Martin Ray Johnson, age 84, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 19, 2018. Mr. Johnson was born on December 27, 1933 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was a loving husband of 59 years, father, and grandfather.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Martin and Ruby (Nix) Johnson; grandson Robby Jones and brothers, W.T. Williams and Jim Johnson.

Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Jo (Milligan) Johnson; sons, Greg Jones (Maria) and Edd Johnson; grandchildren, Josh Jones (Stephanie), Dylan Jones, Leslie Naylor, Brandon Johnson, and Nick Johnson; great grandchildren, Charlie Jones, Trenton Durbin, Robby Jones, Brandon, Braytin, Austin, Jenna, Aliyah, and Luke; sister Barbara Roland (Kenneth); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
