Maryland Lee Cooper, age 91, of Fairdale, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Bryant Fields and Ethel (Riggs) Owen. She was a member of Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Franklin Cooper; daughter, Rose Elaine Frye; grandson, Dustin Cooper and siblings Frances Delk, Eunice Miles, Cleo Albert Fields and Delores Miles.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Lynn Hudson (James); son, William Cooper, Jr. (Lisa); 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Perkins; brother, Sylvester Fields and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky) with interment in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 2:00 until 8:00 and on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 9:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
