Matthew W. Pompilio, age 81 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on November 27, 2025. He was born in Newport, Kentucky on October 3, 1944, to the late Mike Pompilio and Dorothy Pompilio. He was a salesman for Anderson and Pella windows and doors. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. He had a special love for his wife Debbie and then his second love was his motorcycle. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife Debbie Pompilio, and his son Patrick Pompilio.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his 3 sons Richard Pompilio, Matthew Pompilio (Katie), and Christopher Pompilio, 9 grandchildren, 2 sisters Deb Popovich, and Donna Lang, 1 brother Terry Pompilio, along with a host of other dear family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on January 8, 2025, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. in chapel at the funeral home.
