Mattie Jane Jenkins

Mrs. Mattie Jane Jenkins, age 87, of Leitchfield returned to her Heavenly Father on April 26, 2015. Mrs. Jenkins retired after 25 years of service with Jefferson County Public Schools where she taught at Blue Lick Elementary. Among those that preceded her in death include her husband, Paul Jenkins; parents, Duggie and Emma Miller; and six children. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Becky Terry, Mary Jenkins, Donna Severs (Tom), Sherry Holloway (Gene), Debbie Martin, Cindy Messer (Richard), Jeanetta James (Dale), Eddie Jenkins (Brenda), Dale Jenkins (Cathy), Jimmy Jenkins, Mike Jenkins and Timmy Jenkins; 32 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jessie Johnson and Pat Hyatt; and her canine companion, Oso.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Hwy 44 East at Winning Colors Dr.) with burial at 10:00 am on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
