Morgan Elaine Williamson, age 27, of Taylorsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday morning, June 21st, from the results of a car accident. Morgan was born on March 8th, 1998, to Jeff & Sally Williamson. She was a graduate of the 2016 class at Spencer County High School and went on to study Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Kentucky University receiving her Bachelors in 2020, and her Masters in 2024. She was a member of Alpha omicron Pi Epsilon Omega, EKU Chapter. She was presently a Mental Health Therapist at UofL Health Peace Hospital and worked a private practice with Counseling Unconditionally. Morgans sweet, compassionate, understanding ways made her perfect for her career choice. She saw the good in everyone and she made the world a better place. Even after death she will continue to help people due to being an organ donor.
Inspite of her many years of battling Ulcerative Colitis, Morgan loved life and pushed herself to rise above the pain and limitations this disease brought to her life. “I Can’t” was never part of her vocabulary. Morgan loved to travel and some of her many favorite things to do was her yearly mother/daughter trips with her mom and sister, impromptu shopping trips to TJ Maxx or Target with her sister, family beach vacations, or just a pool day at her Uncle Jerry & Aunt Kim’s house with her aunts and cousins that always brought a ton of laughter. But anyone who knew Morgan knew her greatest joys came from being Auntie Mo to her nephews and dog mom to her best boy, Briggs.
Morgan was predeceased by her grandfather George Preston Williamson, grandmother, Peggy Mumford and Uncle, Gary Dale Helm. Her family finds comfort in believing they were all there with her as she entered the Gates of Heaven, where her stomach no longer hurt because she was completely healed from her UC. Besides her parents, Morgan leaves behind her sister & best friend, Jordan Williamson Milburn, brother-in-law, Tyler and her nephews, Barrett & Brighton; her grandparents, Helen Williamson and Gerald Mumford; Along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Friends.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 27, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Morgans honor to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or Counseling Unconditionally (13011 W U.S. Highway 42 #209, Prospect, Ky. 40059.)
