

Mrs. Nancy Blain, age 92, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Mrs. Blain was born in Bardstown, KY on March 27 1933 to the late Hester Waldridge Smith and John Smith. She was a wonderful mother, caring and kind in all she did, putting her family and Christian faith first. She had a great sense of humor and brought light to everyone in her life.
Wind chimes brought Nancy peace; may their melodies remind you of her always.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Joseph Blain; grandson, Joe Joe Blain and her siblings, Charlie, Gilbert, Donnie, Robert, Everett, Marzetta, Gertrude, Lil, and Chris preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Wanda Deekan (Ted), Gale Blain, Joe Blain (Phyllis), Ray Blain (Terri), Mike Blain (Kelly) and Linda Seng (Robert) ; grandchildren, Jimmy Johnson (Candy), Jill Struckman (Dustin), Jack Stahl (Jessica), Wendy Blain, Lacey Blain, Ashley Kraft (David), Cody Blain (Jenna) and Shelby Mattingly (Christopher); 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brother, Kenny Beam and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
