Naomi Ruth Bowen

Mrs. Naomi Ruth (Goad) Bowen, age 85, of Shepherdsville, formerly of Shively, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 6, 2020.   Mrs. Bowen was born in Tompkinsville, KY on August 7, 1934 to the late Dillard and Hazel (Arterburn) Goad. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Life Bridge Christian Church, served several years in the Friendship House gift shop and enjoyed meeting the needs of others. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nina Louise (Goad) Ritchie.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 65 years, William “Max” Bowen; daughters, Cynthia Davis (Mark), Sherry Allen (Terry) and Vickie Malone (Paul); granddaughters, Emma Coy, Summer Helmick, Sianna Malone and Rachel Miller (Austin); numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and many dear extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with private interment to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Life Bridge Christian Church.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is operating at 33% occupancy, therefore the seating will be limited.
