Nola Jean Elder, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 9, 2024. She was born on July 31, 1935, in SunFish, Kentucky to the late Walter and Mary Della (Sanders) Vincent. She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Order of the Eastern Star Fairdale #153.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Elder; son, Keith Elder and brother, Gurman Vincent. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patti Vittitoe (James); son, Dennis Elder; grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Sidney, Amber and Skyler; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Delaney, Mia, Alayna, Lenny, Emilee, Natalee, Andrew, Booker and Liam, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 12 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Lone Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
