Born August 30, 1929, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of the late Paul Riley Green, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Simonson Milton.
Paul was a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worshipped in the Louisville First Ward. He established the Campbellsville Branch, where he faithfully served as Branch President, and later served alongside his beloved wife as a Stake Missionary. His testimony, leadership, and dedication to the Lord were evident throughout his life.
He honorably retired from the United States Marine Corps after 22½ years of dedicated service to his country. His military career included one tour in Vietnam and service with the Marine Exchange and Club Systems. Even after retirement, Paul continued his commitment to service by volunteering with the American Red Cross and Disabled American Veterans.
Above all, Paul was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was marked by faith, service, hard work, integrity, and deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 74 years, Loretta Brown Green; children, Karry Anne Green and Kim Louise Green; grandchildren, Culver Riley Pinkerton and Kristen Louise Pinkterton; great-grandchildren, Harper Jay Laytham (10) and Madeline Louise Laytham (7) and a host of other dear family and friends.
