Peggy Lee Parker

Peggy Lee Parker, 87, passed away January 23, 2024 at Audubon Hospital quietly in her sleep, comforted by the love of her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Ora Charlene Dixius; her children, Rhonda Bishop (Mitchell) and Jeffrey Parker (Tina) ; 7 grandchildren, Michael Bishop (Elizabeth), Lindsay Beyer (Will), Ashley Beams (Mike), Kelly, Ryan (Mercedes), Ben and Mark Parker; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ida and August Bishop, and Caroline Beams. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Harley Boyd Parker; her parents Charles C. and Francis Lucille Hendon Ward; brother, Charles E. “Bud” Ward; and her great-granddaughter, Ella Grace. Peggy was loved and respected by her friends and family, who she spoiled whenever possible. She was fiercely protective of her family and worked to keep everyone safe, secure, and happy for all of her days. She was an avid traveler, and never far from her husband’s side. She missed him as much as we will she, in turn, be missed. Her visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024 at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) begins at 11am with a brief service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Home of the Innocents or a charity of your choice.
