Richard A. "Hoot" Gibson

Mr. Richard A. “Hoot” Gibson, age 81, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Mr. Gibson was born in Knoxville, TN on December 23, 1936. He was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church and a member of Teamsters Local 89. He retired from Bremner Biscuit after 29 years of service.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his father, W.R. Gibson; mother, Una Beeler; brother, Richard Junior Gibson; sister, Shirley Allen Gibson and his grandson, Corey Gibson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Mike Gibson (Terri), Mark Gibson (Lori) and Lisa Gibson; grandchildren, Krista Smallwood (Forrest), Cody Priddy, Dalton and Dustin Gibson; 3 great granddaughters; sisters, Louise England and Elise Gibson and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
