Richard Lee Sims Sr.

Mr. Richard Lee Sims Sr., age 63, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 19, 2021. Mr. Sims was born in Louisville, KY on October 30, 1957. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and employed by Carrier Vibrating Equipment Inc.

Among those who preceded in in death are, his beloved wife, Leah Katherine Sims; father, Charles Edward Sims and sister, Janet Massey Jacobs.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Richard Lee Sims Jr. (Tiffanie) and Karen Lewis (Todd); grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew and Austin; his mother, Joyce Ann Sims; brothers, Charles E. Sims Jr. and Michael W. Sims; his beloved dog, Sugar and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Saint Rita Catholic Church (8709 Preston Hwy., Louisville) with interment to follow at Saint Michael Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)
