Robert Lee Vest

Mr. Robert Lee Vest, age 64, of Taylorsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Mr. Vest was born in Louisville, KY on January 19, 1957, to the late Arthur and Oma Vest. In 1975, Mr. Vest graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He was an employee at Premier Packaging. Mr. Vest was an active member of Plum Creek Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the church choir. He had an amazing love for animals and was an avid KY sports fan.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 29 years, Tina Vest; son, Skylar Vest (Shelby); siblings, Jeanne Gregory (Jimmy), Gail Ferrell (Charlie), Artie Vest (Catherine), Johnny Vest (Sandy), Patrick Vest (Becky) and Carla Patton (Trevor Croft); father-in-law, Dean Franklin; mother-in-law, Hilda Franklin and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
