Ronald Gary Lee

Mr. Ronald Gary Lee, age 82, of Jeffersontown, formerly of Butchertown returned to his Heavenly Father on October 24, 2020. Mr. Lee was born on September 7, 1938 in Louisville, KY to the late Edward and Delores (Schuler) Lee. He was a retired truck driver for Fischer’s Meat Packing Company and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Eagles Club and a mason with Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge #0244 F. & A.M. He was a member of American Legion Post #244 G.I. Joe. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, and sisters, Cathy Morrison and Diane Clark.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy (Bishop) Lee; children, Kay Sanders (Richard), Johnny Wright (Angie), Linda Cannon, Tony Watson and Jerry Wright; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lee, Martha Charmoli (Phil) and Brenda Casamento; and brother, Edward Lee. He also leaves his best friend, Calvin Carman, who he held close to his heart and called him his brother. A special thank you to the caregivers who helped care for him whom he thought a lot of Ms. Toni Walker and Miss Venus Moon.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, October 30, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm and Friday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
