Roy Edward Jett, Sr.

Roy Edward Jett, Sr., age 72, of Brooks, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Roy was born on June 29, 1952 in Eubank, Kentucky to the late Bryon Jett, Jr. and Della “Campbell” Jett. He was of Baptist faith, outdoorsman, loved fishing and western movies. He was a welder/Fabricator/Operator with Local 181 International Union of Operators and Engineers.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 21 years, Sandy “Barnes” Jett; brothers, Earl and Charlie Jett; sister, Theresa; stepfather, John McDonald.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Rhonda Calvert (Joe) and son, Roy E. Jett, Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Amber, Bethany, Jenna, Kullen, Brandon and Josh; ten great grandchildren; sister, Bertie Parkhill; faithful canine, BOO; 1st wife, mother of his children and friend, Pam Jett; and a host of family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow at New Salem Memorial Cemetery, Deatsville, Ky. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 1:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
