Russell W. Uphold

     The son of the late Lloyd D. and Margaret A. Hose Uphold, he was born October 8, 1927 in Terra Alta, WV. Mr. Uphold served in the United States Navy during WWII.  He retired from Linker's Bakery in Louisville, KY.

     He is survived by two daughters and spouses, Barbara A. and Joe Bradley of Ringgold, GA and Brenda S. and George T. DeLauder of Terra Alta; one son and spouse, Russell A. and Brenda R. Uphold of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren: Michelle, Joey, Kimberly, Carol, Shelly, Lori, Julie, Jason and Jennifer and 16 great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cleta Arvetta Bell Uphold in 1997; a daughter, Carol E. Uphold; brothers, Chester Howard Uphold and Melvin Dewey Uphold and a sister, Creola Uphold.

     Family and friends will be received at the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020.  Interment will follow in Brookland Cemetery
