Shelby Jean Perry

Mrs. Shelby Jean (Harris) Perry, 82, of Okolona, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 29, 2020. Mrs. Perry was born in Bullitt County on March 11, 1938 to the late Thomas and Alma (Wheeler) Harris. Mrs. Perry was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family and her home. She loved the Lord and was a member of Harrison Lane Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of over 55 years, James Burton Perry Sr.; brother, Thomas Harris, Jr.; and sisters, Bonnie Luttrell, Beaulah Goodman, Virginia Baumgardner, and Belinda Burk.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, James Perry, Jr. (Kathy) and Terry Wayne Woods (Donna); daughters, Donna Kay Ferguson (Randy) and Vickie Sue Myers (Victor); eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Ruby Hardin; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.  

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Evergreen Cemetery to follow.   Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
