Mr. Stephen "Steve" Motley, age 39, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father and reunited with his beloved Mamaw, June Motley Hasch, on Monday, July 13, 2020. Steve was born on May 30, 1981 in Louisville to Patricia "Patty" Motley. He was an avid University of Kentucky and Cincinnati Reds fan. Steve was a very devoted and loving father.
Among those that preceded him in death are his maternal grandmother; maternal grandfather, William Motley; and great aunt, Angela Schoen.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; children, Stephen Jr., Anthony, Shawn and Skylar Motley; sister, Erin (Cody) Schonburg; nephew, Rhett Schonburg; uncles, Bill and Steve (Kathy) Motley; aunts, Angie Warren and Mary Lou (Doug) Frank; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Norton's Cancer Institute for their care and compassion, especially, Dr. Michael Driscoll, Dr. Martin and special nurse, Shonda Davis.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 3 pm until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
