Steve Grant Higgs

Mr. Steve Grant Higgs, age 74, of Lynnview returned to his Heavenly Father on October 12, 2012. Mr. Higgs retired after 42 years of service as a switchman for CSX Railroad. Among those that preceded him in death include his daughter, Deborah Ann Higgs; and his parents, Harvey and Rose Ella Higgs. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Higgs; sons, Dennis (Regina), Michael (Roni Jo) and Richard Higgs; grandchildren, Hailey and Holly Higgs and Herb Kroninger (Kim); great-grandson, Jacob Kroninger; brothers, Lin (Patty) and James (Brenda) Higgs; sisters, Grey Ennis and Suzie Hester (Jim); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst. www.subfuneralhome.com
