Mr. Carter was born June 27, 1958 in Louisville, was an avid fisherman who was a member of Club Gilbert and a U of K fan.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, Robert and Rita Carter; nephew, Timothy Allen Carter and former wife, Brenda Wideman.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Alex Carter, Steven Carter Jr. (Haylee), Krystal Shaffer (Brian) and Rita Carter; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Bobby, Donnie, Linda and Tim (Liz) Carter and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
