Susan Mae Bell

Susan Mae Bell, age 67, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, January 6, 2023.   She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on February 5, 1955 to the late William Maddox and Mary Louise Brooks.   

She was a retired medical lab technician for Lab Corp.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Christine Lee Bell (fiance’ Jason Kennedy); ex-husband, Stevie Bell; brothers, David Maddox, Gene Maddox (Joanne), Leonard Wayne Maddox; niece and her children, Michelle Brooks, Austin Brooks, Autumn Brooks, Ashton Brooks, and Aspyn Brooks; brother-in-law, Tandy Roberts; close friend, Sandy Roberts and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Fisher and Kathy Newkirk; two brothers, Leonard Brooks and Billy Brooks; sister-in-law, Carol Maddox.

Funeral service will be conducted at 6 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road).  Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 2 pm until time of the service at the funeral home.
