Mrs. Thelma Louise Rice Meeks, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 9, 2017. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Orville and Clara Highley Rice; husband, Earl Meeks; infant son, Joseph Meeks; grandson, Bradley Rhodes; sister, Evelyn Dahlrot (John); and brother, Ed Rice (Elizabeth). She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Myra Smith, Vicki Rhodes (Kenny), Kevin Meeks (Julie) and Kent Meeks (Laura); grandchildren, Shannon Roeschlein (Mike), Dane Smith (Kelly), Brendon, Jacob (Edie) and Hyleigh Meeks; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Gwen Rhodes, Emily Roeschlein-Johnson (Tyler) and Erin Roeschlein; great-great-grandchildren, Silas and Samuel Smith and Liam Roeschlein; sisters, Frances Manley, Eula Petitt and Roxie Voyles (Jim); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, July 14, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery.
