Thomas "Tom" Phillips

Thomas “Tom” Phillips, age 93, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at his residence. Tom was born on January 25, 1931, to the late Mitchell Phillips and Temple (Reed) Phillips. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force, Navy and Army. He retired from L & N Railroad. Tom enjoyed trains, motorcycles and music. He was great at hobbies such as his woodworking. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Temple Phillips, siblings, Louise Phillips, Jay Phillips, Larry Phillips and Kenneth Phillips. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Celeia (Wade) Phillips; daughters, Nancy Hall (Joe) and Sandra Phillips; grandson, Joseph Hall; granddaughter, Ashley Chumbley (Joe); great-grandson, Braden Hall; sisters, Frances Pope and Beverly Ashcraft (Don).

Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) has been entrusted with his care. In keeping with Tom’s wishes, no service will be held.
