Ms. Virginia Jewell (Sanders) Decker, age 89, of Lyndon returned to her Heavenly Father on March 1, 2019. Ms. Decker was born on December 6, 1929 in Brownsville, KY to the late Eula and Rilla (Hester) Sanders. Ms. Decker was a retired school teacher from Jefferson County Public Schools. She was a member of Fairdale United Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents; and son, Dr. David Decker. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Amber Able, David, Tyler, Daniel and Adam Decker; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Joshua, Hadley and Ren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, March 4, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Lone Hill United Baptist Church Cemetery.
