William Clayton Hampton

Mr. William “Clayton” Hampton, age 92, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 18,2021. Mr. Hampton was born on September 20,1929 in Butler County, KY to the late Judson Monroe and Opal Louise (Austin) Hampton. Mr. Hampton was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was retired from GE as a foreman and an Army veteran. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as golfing and gardening.

Mr. Hampton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Vedus Angelia (Keltner) Hampton; and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, William D. “Doug” Hampton (Kellie) and Robert S. “Steve” Hampton (Rhonda); grandchildren, Christopher Michael Hampton (Amanda), Kyle B. Frederick, Robert Steven Hampton, Jr., Timothy Clayton Hampton and Jacob Allen Hampton; great-grandson, Maverick Clayton Hampton and great-granddaughter, Myla Lynn Maier.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 24,2021 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) followed by entombment at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 23,2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
