Michael Charles CARROLL Michael (Mickey) was born December 8, 1935, in Seattle, WA. He died at home on December 21, 2006, in Issaquah, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Charles Carroll. Mickey is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joan, and children Kristi (John), Jim (Joyce), Lynn, Ric (Candi), Don (Jodi) and Sandee (David). He leaves his sister, Patty Brody (Larry), brother, Terry (Diane), 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mickey's life is an inspiration to all of us. His dedication to his family as husband, father, brother and friend was always most important to him. To know Mick was to love him. Whether it was a family get together, his last illness, or one of his many successful careers, he brought joy, humor and wisdom to the lives of those around him. His professional life exemplified his kind spirit with service as a priest, executive director of the Pike Place Market, Director of Facilities for the Seattle School District, Boeing Co. business manager for the Everett Facilities Expansion and the IAM/Boeing and SPEEA/Boeing Joint Programs. He retired from his very favorite job as Associate Director of Facilities for the King County Library System. Although his courageous battle with cancer is over, his wonderful personality will always be a part of his family and friends. He will remain forever in our hearts. The family extends its greatest thanks and appreciation to David White, M.D., and to Marita and the staff at the oncology section of the Polyclinic. A private memorial service is planned. The family requests no flowers. Remembrances may be made to Seattle Union Gospel Mission, 3800 S. Othello St. P. O. Box 202, Seattle, WA 98111-0202. Friends are invited to share memories and sign the family's on-line guest book at www.flintofts.com.
