

Joe as he was known, was the tenth child of ten children born to Adam Joseph Brooks, Sr. and Sina Adams. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Hazel Young Brooks, numerous nieces and nephews, great and great, great nieces and nephews and preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters and one brother, Lena Brooks, Martha Virginia Brooks, Rilla Brooks Stokes, John Brooks, Lois Brooks Webster, Helen Brooks Wren, Edith Brooks Floyd, Faye Brooks Black and Jerry Brooks Andrews his twin sister.
Joe served in the Army from 1957 to 1959 in Germany as a personnel specialist, and later started working with his cousins at the Georgia State B&D, becoming a partner in the business.
Joe was a faithful member and deacon of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church. Joe was known by his family, church members, and friends as a kind, principled, friendly, caring, generous, humorous human being who loved his God, country, wife, 2 and family and greeted everyone he knew with a loving smile.

A visitation for Adam will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia 30039. A Funeral Service will follow after the visitation at 11:00 AM. Mr. Brooks will be entombed at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
