

Adriano Giovanni Gómez, 26, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, in Duluth, GA. He was born April 15, 1985, in Bogotá, Colombia, South America. Adriano lived in Bogotá until he was 17 and then moved with his family to Georgia. He graduated with honors from Springs Academy High School in Conyers, Georgia, and from CHUBB University in Alpharetta with a degree in graphic design. He also graduated from Youth With A Mission’s Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Adriano was known for his contagious smile and profound interest in the welfare of those with whom he came in contact. As one friend posted on his wall this week: “Adriano was honestly the most loving and compassionate person I have ever come across.” He worked hard and put his heart into everything he did. His goal was to become a doctor, and he was passionate in his quest to understand and find a cure for his disease. He is survived by his wife, Samantha; his mother, Crystal, and step-father, Phillip Morse; his father, Ernesto G. Gomez of Bogota, Colombia; a sister, Jacqueline, and husband, Anthony Alexander; step-sister, Jaimee Morse; step-brothers, Justin and Jordon Morse; maternal grandparents, Rev. Wedrell (Wedge) and Shirley Alman; grandmother, JoAnn Morse; a niece, Sarah Ann Castaneda; nephews, Avery and Charles Wedrell Alexander. He is also survived by two uncles, Robert and Brenton and wife Sofia Alman; four cousins, Shannon Townsend and Travis, Shane and Andrea Alman.
