Daniel Shivers

September 3, 1987 – May 29, 2025

William “Daniel” Shivers , 37, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on May 29, 2025 after a long illness.

Daniel was raised in Snellville, Georgia. He was an active member of the Youth Department of Smoke Rise Baptist Church. He graduated from Shiloh High School where he was a percussionist in the marching and concert bands. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 588 in Snellville, Georgia and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He attended the University of West Georgia and enjoyed a career in positions dealing with the public.

Daniel married Jessica (Meeks) Shivers, January 26, 2019. They were long standing members of UPRISING Christian Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia where they taught Children’s Sunday School.

Daniel is survived, by his wife of six years, Jessica (Meeks) Shivers. His parents, Paula and David Shivers of Snellville, Georgia. Aunts and Uncles, Bethany and Terry Warren of Charlotte, North Carolina, Edwin and the late Marcia Wright of Trussville, Alabama, Scott and Sarah Wright of Mobile, Alabama and Greg and Teresa Shivers of Hoover, Alabama. He is also survived by his cousins: Alice (Wright) Lawley, Tyler, Landon and Spencer Shivers and Zachary and Alex Warren.

Daniel is also survived by his loving and caring in-laws: Stephen and Janet Meeks of Lilburn, Georgia. Michael, Lauren and Jonathan Meeks of Decatur, Georgia. Patty and Walter Garrard of Vero Beach, Florida. Cousins: Elizabeth Garrard, Danielle and Thomas Joyce, Robert, John and Heidi Garrard. Along with many wonderful friends.

Daniel will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle and supportive nature, strong work ethic and his quick wit and humor.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:30am at MAIN STREET CHURCH, 5073 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA, 30084 (770-938-1688). The family will welcome visitors from 10:30 to 11:30am. There

will be a reception following the Service in the Main Street Church Fellowship Hall.
