David was a beloved father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind an indelible imprint on his beloved children, Lauren (Nick Prince) and Devin (Angela) DeLashmit, and his brothers Dennis DeLashmit (Jean), Donnie Payne (Patty), Harold Payne, and Peter DeLashmit (Debbie), who fondly remember him as a source of constant support and friendship.
David was predeceased by his mother, Bernadette Clark, and father, Robert DeLashmit. He was an embodiment of the values instilled by his parents and carried their legacy forward with grace and dignity.
He was a gifted salesman, and was honored as Howson-Algraphy “Regional Salesman of the Year” multiple years.
A voracious reader, David found immense joy in the literary works of Stephen King, and often spent his leisure time engrossed in one of King's many thrilling novels. His love for music was equally profound, with The Beatles and Billy Joel being his all-time favorites. He would often be found humming their tunes, a testament to his fine musical taste.
An ardent fan of Memphis Tiger basketball, David took great delight in watching their games and cheering for his team. It was a recreational activity he savored unreservedly, bringing him much joy and excitement.
Gone from our sight, but not from our hearts, David will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him. We take comfort in the thought that he is now at peace and enriching heaven with his delightful spirit.
