Dear Pam and family, 

Please know that all of you are in our prayers during this difficult time.  I had met Dennis for the first time many years ago when he was 28.  It has been my privilege and honor to know him and enjoy his eternal smile. He never changed. He never wavered in is true character or his love of God.  The world lost a special person and words can’t explain the profound loss that I share with all of you.

To the Pomar Family,
Mr. Pomar was always a joy when he would come to Woods Animal Hospital. He always had a smile on his face and would be laughing with us and sometimes at us when we were silly. Randy and I are so sorry for your loss. He will be miss greatly.
We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. 

Pam, you were blessed to find a wonderful man to share your life with.  Dennis always had a smile and I always enjoyed talking to him.  May God give you and your family comfort and know that someday you will be together again.



I had the wonderful privilege of knowing Dennis for many years.  He always brightened my day with his words of encouragement and his unique mannerisms He always shared had a smile despite his health challenges.  It was my pleasure and honor to be his physician over these years, and I am saddened that we were separated by distance in his last months.  Pam, please accept my condolences. Pam. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dennis. He always had a smile and kind words to say even through many challenges. I will be thinking fondly of him and you and your family at this most difficult time. 

Dennis was our wonderful neighbor in Florida. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He never stopped going and going and loved to be outdoors doing yard work with his sweet dog Katie and his beautiful Pam. 

Pam we are so very sorry for you and your beautiful families lose. Our heart goes out to you all. Our prayers are with you all as you find comfort through this very hard time. Dennis will be greatly missed. God bless you all.

To the family: My deepest sympathies to you as Dennis has passed from this life to his place in heaven with the Lord.  He was such a great friend to me for many years.   He was a man of great faith with such perseverance and persistence.  He loved his family so much.  I remember when he bought that yellow truck, and then the Cobra from some guy out West.  I remember him negotiating a car for Sarah with his trademark "Come on" I need a lower price.  I remember our phone calls particularly of late and he would want me to pray for him but the thing was I got the biggest blessing when he would pray for me.  He has touched my life forever.  So much joy for life and others and his faith in Jesus.  May God's peace comfort you all at this time.  1 Cor 15:54-55

When Dennis laughed, you couldn't help but laugh yourself. He had an amazing kind spirit. He always made you feel welcomed and loved. He was a reflection of God's love and joy. I know without a doubt that he is running around heaven talking with many others and laughing, especially spending time with Jesus. He will be missed, but we will see him again. 

Dennis was a man of gentle spirit and giant heart. His joyful nature and childlike love for Christ were always contagious! He left behind the fragrance of the Lord and will be greatly missed but we are assured of his hope in Christ now realized and will see him soon . All of our love to Pam and the family.

Dennis has always had an encouraging  word for me.  He always had a positive view toward life, family and Church.  We will always remember the way he walked out his Faith.

Dennis was the “wow!” guy. I only knew him a short time before he passed away but we had several sweet times in Bible study and over the phone where we prayed together. He fought to the end, not only for his life but for the glory of Jesus. 

The few times I met Mr. Pomar, I always came away with a smile and/or laughing! He had a contagious joy about him, and he would always make you feel like whatever topic you were talking about was the most important thing. He would always respond with a “Wow” and a big smile! He loved God and his family wholeheartedly, and will be missed! 



Where do I begin with the memories of Mr. Pomar! Sarah has been one of my best friends since 6th grade. Most of my memories of Mr. Pomar were as a teenager. I would remember going over to Sarah’s house and always being greeted with love and joy from Mr. Pomar. He would always ask how I was doing and how my family was. There was always something I told him that he would say, “Wow” or “Come on!” I always laughed so hard! Then one time I went to Sarah’s and He had bought a new yellow ranger and had a lift on the tires. I said Sarah “Did your dad get a new car?” And I think she answered with an eye roll, “Oh my dad!” Then other times I would go to Sarah’s house and knew Mr Pomar was supposed to be home because he hadn’t been well. Those times I would see no yellow truck and I would say Sarah, “Where is your dad?” She would say, “Oh I don’t know probably cutting someone’s grass!” Anytime I was out and about in Grayson I would always see the yellow truck and Mr. Pomar cutting grass. It was just funny to me. Mr. Pomar most importantly was passionate about the Lord and wanted to share his faith with everyone!  He will be missed! We love you Sarah, Mrs Pam and Tim.
