Uncle Gary, aka The Classic Man. He was more than an uncle, he was a friend. He had a rare way of connecting with everyone, effortlessly crossing generations without barriers. He was intelligent, calm, and always knew how to bring a bit of fun into any moment. I was lucky to experience his vocal talent during our karaoke last August, a memory I’ll always cherish.

We are deeply saddened and still in disbelief. The world is small, I met one of his school friends just two days ago, who was amazed to learn that Uncle Gary was my relative. He shared stories of Uncle Gary’s talent on the basketball court, which was interesting to hear. Other than excelling at the national level in table tennis, he was a respected multi-talented sportsman. 

Uncle Gary loved his cricket and most of the times we ran into each other unintentionally, he was always with his friends ready to go to one of the CPL games. 

His name will never be forgotten and may he continue to Rest In Peace as we continue to find peace, joy and love in his sweet remembrances (very clear example in this video)

I cannot believe that the last time Gary visited his family home in Georgetown would have been the last time I would see him. Our neighbour for over 30 years. Gary was the kind of neighbour you would want to have living near you. A quiet and respectable gentleman. Whenever he visited and water coconut is picked from the back yard I surely got my share. Gary will be missed. I pray God's comfort at this difficult time especially for Allison and Mark, his wife and children, friends and extended family and friends.

I vividly remember you riding that Raleigh bicycle so fast and my sister, your wife would be on the back seat.  I used to be so afraid that she would  fall off.   Our last conversation was on Saturday evening, November 29, 2025.  We were talking, laughing and reminiscing about the fun times we enjoyed when we lived in Guyana.  You were in great spirits, so I still cannot believe that the next day you became ill and had to be hospitalized.  Life is so precious.   To the end, your god-fearing,  loyal, supportive and beautiful wife was at your side.  You will be greatly missed by your wife, children grandchildren, family and friends.  Continue to sleep in eternal peace.
