Happy 88th birthday mama, I love and miss you so much, I hope you are celebrating in heaven with our Lord, I love you

Good Morning, Grandmama! I'm just sitting at work & you're on my mind! Wanted to let you know that I miss you more than words....Tj asked me yesterday, "Mama, do you remember when our grandma used to always try to make me eat her food? And Mama, why did she like Pimento Cheese?" :) It made me smile! I'm sure you are living it up in heaven with Jesus <3 I love you. Continue to be with me, the boys & mama.... Lord knows, she misses you more as each day goes by. Xoxo.

Mama's Ulogy:

We are here today as a celebration of our Mother, Genelle Sosebee. It is very hard to let go of the person that we as brothers and sisters have known longer than any other person in our lives. We all grew up with a humble upbringing as did she. We never had a lot of the items money could buy during our childhoods as others did, but we never felt as though we were slighted. We knew what we lacked materially would be more than compensated for when we were home. It was there that Mom made us all feel special with her love and nurturing even though there were nine of us. It is hard to imagine that others received the quality and quantity of attention that we received and that was validated as we matured. After the death of our Father we realized that Mama needed assistance and help with day to day activities, however she would never ask. Mom was still busy trying to assist and mother her now grown kids. We realized that her children and grandchildren were her life and that no other activities could replace them in her life. As her health declined and her needs increased it was natural for us to be there for her as she had always been for us. Our peers would comment that there were other means of care available for her but we would never have any part of that, we realized that she had lived her life for us and we intended to be there for her. This verified the fact that we lived a special existence having a Mothers love like no other.

Mom's will and inner strength showed during her final years. She had multiple health issues and endured five major surgeries her last year, whild doctors warned us that the chance of success was minimal, each time Mom proved them wrong.

The only thing that can even start to fill the voids in our hearts is knowing that she is in Heaven and reunited with family and friends before us, including our Dad, brother Jimmy, sister Joyce, and her mom, dad, brothers and sisters. She has instilled in all of us how to live a life full of love and faith that will sustain us till we are together again.

Thank you to all that have joined us today to remember the person we have been fortunate enough to call Mom and Grandma.

We Love You Mama, and we will miss you every day.  May God Bless You!

  FOR MAMA
The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over; Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I am so very sorry for your loss, but my Bible tells us that "absent from the body, present with the Lord"... so we rejoice that Mrs. Sosebee is now with Our Lord and Savior!!! Jerry, Ann, Sue, Buddy (George), Judy, Alan and Kathy--you and your families are all in my prayers. Mrs. Sosebee was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. I had hoped to get to see her again and hear her sweet voice one more time, but I will wait til I see her one day in Heaven to let her know what she meant to me.

this poem was in my brother Jimmy's memorial and I would like to post it for my Mama, Daddy, Jimmy, and Joyce:

      "GOD SAW YOU:

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
to us, He only takes the best.

mrs. Sosebee was one of a kind and she worked her life away to taking care of her kids and grandkids, she was a remarkable woman and will be missed, she is with the Lord now

I am so sorry that you and your family are going through such a difficult time. God is our refuge and our strength. You and your family will remain in my prayers. We go back a long way! God Bless you all! Love ya!

Deepest sympathies and condolences to you and you family during this difficult time. 

I found this passage to be comforting when I lost my parents.

â€œDo not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:1

I would like to say this to my brothers, Jerry,Bud,Alan, and my sisters,Sue,Ann,and Kathy that I know how heart broken you are and I share the heartbreak pain that ya all feel, but just remember that her poor little painful body has been replaced by a much better body and just imagine the joy that she feels being with Daddy again, and her mama and daddy, Jimmy and Joyce and her brother and sisters, everytime I cry the only way I can stop is to think of her rejoicing to be around those she hasn't seen in so many years, and being pain free. I know one day we will also join them because I know ya share the same deep rooted love that I have and you know God is love and anyone who has that love will inherit the earth, so lets all be happy for mama and try not to be so sad when we think of her, we all love her and she knew that, and I love you all too

May the Lord be with you and bring you comfort in knowing she is in a better place...Where there is no sorrow nor pain...

I was just thinking about how Myself, Jimmy, and Joyce would go around the mobile home park selling vegetables when we were young and some people would tip us, so if we got enough tips we would get us a half gallon of ice cream to split, mama would always say she didn't want any, but I know now she loved ice cream and just wanted us to have more, I miss mama so much and I have a life long string of memories and she is in some of the best ones, actually most of the best ones. I love you mama
