Horace Neville Warner (affectionately called "Bibbi" by his family and close friends) age 75 of Snellville passed away August 5, 2011. He was born to Harold Theodore Warner and Gladys Ursula McCalla Warner on November 14, 1935 in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Horace was the second of five children - all boys - and was known as the protective one of the bunch.
Horace grew up in Kingston and attended St. Simons High School. Upon graduation, he worked at the Jamaica Railway Corporation. It was at the Railway where he met the former Sheila Dennis, the love of his life. After a romantic courtship, they wed in April 1959 and enjoyed over 52 blessed years of marriage. Their union produced two children - son, Wayne who sadly passed away 9 days after birth and, two years later, a beautiful daughter, Michelle.
Horace pursued a higher education first in the United States where he studied at Radio and Television Institute. Upon graduation, he then studied in London, England at The Pembridge College of Electronics where he obtained a degree in Radio and Television. After years of working in London, Horace migrated to New York. He obtained a position at Merrill Lynch where he worked for over 30 years as a Supervisor in the Options Department. In 2000, he retired and relocated to Atlanta with his family.
Horace was a dedicated family man who delighted in spending time with his wife, daughter, grandchildren, brothers, other family members and many friends. When he became a grandfather, he was as proud as ever. Horace also loved to cook and took pleasure in watching his family and friends enjoy his scrumptious meals!
Horace is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Sheila, caring daughter, Michelle, grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew, brothers, Noel and Harold, dearly beloved father-in-law, Ivan Dennis (106 years old), sisters-in-law, Barbara, Joy, Gloria, Shirley Riley and Sandy Lentino, brother-in-law, Rexton Dennis, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
His brothers, Oswald and Winston predeceased him.
PRAISE GOD!!
Horace surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith and hence a crown of righteousness is laid up for him.
THANK GOD HE IS RESTING IN PEACE.
