Hyacinth Rose Lewis, 76, of Buford, GA, went home to be with the Lord on June 13th, 2024. She was born on December 16, 1947, in the beautiful island of Jamaica WI, to Ivy Glegg and Phillip Lewis. At the age of 2 months old, an unfortunate incident happened to her and her family, she lost her dad. With the combined efforts of her sisters and brothers and the support of their mother, they set out to conquer the world in their own unique way.
Miss Hya (aka Miss H) to those who knew and loved her will surely recall all the times she invited her friends and loved ones to her home for dinner where she had prepared an abundance of food, which she had carefully crafted to compliment the spirits which she had selected to support the fun times filled with laughter and conversation.
During the week, one would often find Miss Hya in her favorite place, her garden and yard singing tunes along with the music she was playing. On the days she was not working in her garden and or yard, she was walking the neighborhood greeting her neighbors. Miss Hya was a thoughtful person through and through who loved everyone. She may have been "spicy", as some people would say, but she gave her heart and her love to all within her presence in her own unique way.
To know her is to know Life, Love, family, and friends wrapped with unique kindness to each with smiles, laughter, playing music, grooving with all, singing with all, and dancing the night away.
Miss Hya is survived by her son Philip, her daughter Nicole, her Granddaughter Dominique, her Grandson Devon and her Grandson DJ. She is also survived by many family members: her sister Yvone, her sister Carol, her sister Molly, her sister Audry and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral for Miss Hya will be held on July 13th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Georgia.
Whether it be with flowers, an outreach to her family, or your thoughts and prayers, her family thanks everyone for honoring and celebrating her life..
