Age 85 of Pendergrass Georgia passed away Saturday January 30, 2016. Jim was born on 2/16/1930 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John Alfred Alexander and Mary Lucile Davenport.
He worked for over 30 years for General Motors, first at the Lakewood Plant and finally retiring from the Doraville plant.
Jim has been preceded in death by his parents John A. Alexander and Mary Lucile Davenport and his daughter Charlotte Diane Yancy. He is survived by his son Ed Alexander; 4 grandchildren Michael Yancy, Wayne Yancy, Michelle DuPree and Katherine Alexander, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The viewing is scheduled at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, Ga for Sunday 1/31/2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be a graveside service held on Monday 2/1/2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. Services will be conducted by Carlton Allen the pastor of The First Baptist Church of Commerce Georgia which he attended.
