Jerold Joseph Donovan, 70, of Dacula, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, in Lawrenceville. Jerold was born on September 15, 1946 in Waterbury, CT to Edmund and Verna Donovan. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard for 19 years. He earned his Doctorate in Education and was a 6th grade teacher and principal for the City of Decatur School System. Jerold loved to garden, hike, go boating or just anything that was outdoors. He was a historian and a collector of everything eclectic. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Angela Donovan of Dacula, sons Sean Donovan of Atlanta and Eric Donovan of Crested Butte, CO, sister Teresa Parillo of Waterbury, CT and his dog Cinnabar.
