Sgt. Kevin Morgan

Sgt. Kevin R. Morgan, 44, of the Georgia Army National Guard, Winder Unit, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in Lilburn. Kevin was born on August 15, 1969, in Atlanta, GA to John and Faye Morgan. A devoted husband, father, son and brother, he is survived by his wife Jennifer Morgan, son John Paul, affectionately known as J.P., daughter Evelyn, father John Morgan, mother Faye Morgan, brothers Spencer Keith Morgan and William Kenneth Morgan, sister Dorothy Karen Brown, nephews John Morgan, Will Morgan, Jack Brown, Joe Brown, Auston Netcher and William Irons and nieces Abby Morgan, Courtney Irons and Caroline Irons. Kevin’s military service began with close to 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. He joined the Army National Guard in 2006 and dearly loved serving in the Armed Forces. Kevin proudly served 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan. His friends will miss his crazy sense of humor and his dedication to his fellow soldiers. Kevin’s unselfishness was always apparent in his willingness to help anyone in need. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 4-9pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Mountain Park United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
