Pattie NeSmith Peck was born on February 17, 1936, in Boston GA as the third child of Annie and Burton NeSmith. She was a loving daughter among nine other siblings, primarily raised in Ben Hill, GA. She graduated from Southwest High School and was named "Most Talented" from her high school senior class. Pattie had a beautiful gift of singing and playing piano her entire life for family and friends. She and Bill were regular members of Oak Grove United Methodist Church for over 40 years where they both were active members of the Seekers Sunday School Class. Pattie played piano and Bill was the song leader. She also sang with the Sweet Adeline Chorus. Pattie and Bill sang duets in gospel quartets throughout most of their married life. For several years, Pattie and Bill lived in Rabun Gap, GA enjoying the beautiful North GA mountains and peaceful living. Pattie had such an eye for interior decorating that their gorgeous mountain home was featured in the Christmas tour of homes. Pattie was so very proud and devoted to this holiday event, while freely opening up her spectacular home for others to enjoy. Over the past 5 years, Pattie discovered her love and talent for oil painting. Her amazing artistic abilities inspired her to paint seven outstanding oil paintings. With very little instruction, her oil paintings were a true blessing to she and her family. The Memorial Services will be at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Decatur, GA this Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 am. A reception in the Oak Grove Fellowship Hall will follow.
